Annual Commemorative Service

The Queensland Fire and Rescue's Brisbane Region annual Commemorative Service, to pay tribute to all Firefighters who have given their lives in the line of duty, will be held at St. Brigid's Church, Musgrave Road, Red Hill, Brisbane on the 10th October, 2009 commencing at 1000 hrs.

This day, "the Tenth day of the Tenth Month", is the National Day of Remembrance for Firefighters all around Australia. A minutes silence at 1000 hrs. is observed to remember our fallen comrades, both here and overseas.

Attendance at this service will ensure all Queensland Firefighters who were unfortunate to have lost their lives whilst on duty serving communities in Queensland are remembered.

This is an ideal opportunity to remember the fallen and partake in morning tea after the service, where you may enjoy the company of old acquaintances, both serving and retired.

Adequate parking is available in the church grounds.

Members are requested to wear medals.
